Service Description

Location: Pristine Linville Gorge Wilderness Area Price includes: 1) Five days camping. Site has shower, outhouse, running water, and dining hall and bar. One meal on Saturday night is provided. All other meals must be brought by participant. (An Airbnb glamping tent is available on the site, first come first serve, for an additional charge. Sleeps two only.) 2) Bow, Arrow, and String Making Students will have the option to build an osage self-bow from scratch or finish one of the Huntworthy Productions bamboo backed and bellied reflex deflex bow blanks. Price includes bow stave or bow blank, leather for handle wraps, bow finish, all instruction, accompanying written material, and the use of all tools necessary to complete and finish the bow. Also, participants will construct a cane arrow, including turkey fletching and their choice of a metal or stone hunting point. Participants will also learn to make their own Flemish twist bow string. 3) 3D Archery shoot on Friday morning High-score winner will get choice of a custom bamboo-backed and bellied Hill-style bow or custom fiberglass reflex deflex High Country Longbow (choice of wood species on hand, built to your draw length and bow weight.) 4) Deer and Bear Hunt After building their bow, participants can hunt with it Friday through Sunday morning. Note: A valid, up-to-date North Carolina big game hunting license is required for the hunt. A 50% deposit will be required to hold your slot and the balance will be due at time of arrival.
